Who is Shanley?


As a native of Rochester, NY, Shanley was an accomplished dancer at the Sandy Stramonine School of Dance. She taught ballet classes for four years before moving to Greensboro in 1995. Shanley wanted to return to dance but couldn’t bear the thought of putting her feet back into pointe shoes! During a cruise, Shanley stumbled onto a Pilates class and was immediately hooked. Shanley completed her comprehensive Pilates training with Power Pilates of NYC, and has additionally trained with Balanced Body University and Spinning . Shanley has been teaching in the triad since 2009.

What is pilates?


At Triad Pilates studio our certified instructors develop personalized programs that guide clients to increase strength and flexibility, improve posture and body awareness and enhance self confidence. Pilates is something you carry with you when you leave the studio. Your movements become more efficient and you will see the positive results of that in your day to day life as well as any sport you play.

Pilates is a safe and effective whole body workout for all ages and levels of fitness. The source of all movement in Pilates flows from the center of the body creating strength and a sense of calm and well being.









At Triad Pilates we customize sessions to meet individual needs and goals. Clients choose to participate in private sessions or group classes. Pilates exercises are designed to strengthen core muscles, increase flexibility, restore muscle balance, and improve posture.
